I'm a cook, not a chef.

Homegrown. Old-school Southern. Real food, real family, real life.

I've been doing this for about fifteen years now, though it didn't start with cooking. It started with cakes — I'd bake them, post them, and take orders. But somewhere along the way I realized cooking was the thing that came natural to me, and that I loved being on camera doing it. So I leaned all the way in. I'm a cook, not a chef, and I've never pretended to be anything else.

I'm homegrown and old-school Southern, raised in a God-fearing family where the kitchen was the center of everything. That's the kind of food I make — everyday food, the kind you actually put on the table for the people you love. No fifteen-step recipes, no ingredients you can't pronounce. Pull what you have out the pantry and make a meal. Simple is always better.

What I want most is for somebody to watch me cook and think, "Oh, I can do that." Because you can. You eat with your stomach, not your eyes — so don't get caught up in making it fancy. Get caught up in making it good. That's been my whole heart in this from day one, and it's what keeps me showing up.
